Southwest Airlines is investigating a pilot who brought politics onto the plane by using the controversial phrase over the public address system. The Associated Press, which had a reporter on board the flight, said that the pilot of a Friday flight from Houston, Texas to Albuquerque, New Mexico ended his greeting to the passengers by saying, “Let’s go, Brandon.” There were “audible gasps” from some passengers, according to the AP. The phrase “Let’s go, Brandon” has become common in conservative circles as a way of saying, “F*** Joe Biden.” Having started as a meme, the phrase has widely spread to Republican members of Congress and has even been said on the House floor.
